ALTA HILL

Alta Mae Hill, 87, of Hooks, Texas, died Monday, May 12, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hill was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Maxwell, Okla. She was a homemaker, former sponsor of Teen’s Club, a member of New Boston Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Relief Society and Ladies Garden Club and a former board member of Over Thirty’s Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hill; and one son, Michael Hill.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Judy Hill of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Johnny Green and Vicki and Terry Cato of Hooks; one daughter-in-law, Rita Hill of Hooks; two sisters, Loretta Provence of Hooks and Madge Redden of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Bishop Charles Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
