ASHDOWN, Ark.—James “Joe” Bailey, 70, of Tom, Okla., died Thursday, May 8, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Bailey was born June 19, 1937, in Rosston, Ark.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Lee Bailey of Foreman, Ark.; one son, Bruce Green of Dallas; two daughters, Rhoda Bailey and Nedra Bailey of Foreman; one brother, Theo Bailey of Santa Monica, Calif.; one sister, Mae Lou Bailey of Oakland, Calif.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Richland Baptist Church with the Rev. Herbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Tom, under direction of Hamburg Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
