RICHARD ADDINGTON SR.

Richard Gray Addington Sr., 77, of Hooks, Texas, died Monday, May 12, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Adding-ton was born May 13, 1930, in Dante, Va. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of First United Methodist Church and an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Addington of Hooks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Laura Addington of Shreveport, La., and Michael and Terri Addington of Texarkana; three grandchildren and one granddaughter-in-law, Erik Addington and Allie Addington of Shreveport, and Joshua and Jennifer Addington of Genoa, Ark.; four brothers; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Art Parra officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with military rites.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
