DE QUEEN, Ark.—Lyda M. Chandler Ramsey, 88, of De Queen died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs. Ramsey was born June 22, 1919, in Horatio, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church, De Queen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlen A. Ramsey; and one grandson, Branson Ramsey.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kaye Ramsey of De Queen and Arlen and Brenda Ramsey of Blanco, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Bonnie Chandler of De Queen; one sister, Lillie Emerson of De Queen; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Chandler Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Frachiseur officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
