ATLANTA, Texas—Bettie Gray Whatley Webb, 74, of Bivins, Texas, died Friday, May 16, 2008, in Linden, Texas.

Mrs. Webb was born April 26, 1934, in Golden Meadows, La. She a member of Kildare Garden Club and Savannah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, George Harold Whatley Sr. and Charlie Ralph Webb; and one grandchild, Richard Ethan Nunn.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, George Harold Jr. and Kelly Mitchell Whatley and James Michael and Kandy Lynn Whatley of Bivins; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and Randy R. Jackson of Linden, Sandra Denise Whatley of Los Angeles and Sharon Lynn and Ricky Crowder of Columbus, Miss.; one sister, Margie Day Moore of Jennings, La.; 10 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hanner Funeral Service with the Rev. Bob Shaddix officiating. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery.
