PRESCOTT, Ark.—Minnie Opal Otwell, 88, of Wichita, Kan., died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Kansas.

Mrs. Otwell was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Blevins, Ark. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cohen C. Otwell; and one son, Bobby Lynn Otwell.

Survivors include one son, Cohen R. “Ronnie” Otwell of Sarepta, La.; one daughter, Deretha Miller of Little Rock; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Friendship Cemetery, Cale, Ark., with the Rev. Raymond Hicks officiating. Burial will be under direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home.
