ATLANTA, Texas—Genia Luryn Toney, 81, of Atlanta died Friday, May 16, 2008.

Mrs. Toney was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Cass County, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Huffines Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Toney Sr.

Survivors include one son, John Toney Jr. of Atlanta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Genia Lou and Billy Bolt of Atlanta, and Anna and Pete Parker of Bivins, Texas; one sister, Sybil Bickham Johnson of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hanner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Huffines Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
