Sixto Aguilar, 86, of Maud, Texas, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Aguilar was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Juarez, Mexico. He had worked with Goodwill Industries and the Fuller Brush Co. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include one sister, Carmen Jordan of Texarkana; three nieces, Nancy White of Maud, Norma Carlson and Mary Baker of Texarkana; four nephews, Jerry Jordan of Huntsville, Texas, George Delgadillo of El Paso, Texas, Mike Jordan and Mark Jordan of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Mass services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Christian Cellaya officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery with military rites.

Rosary will be 6 p.m. today at Texarkana Funeral Home with the Rev. Msgr. Gerald Priest officiating, with visitation to follow.
