DEKALB, Texas—Robert Clois Taylor, 74, of Terrell, Texas, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in a Denison, Texas, hospital.

Mr. Taylor was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Burns, Miss. He was a truck driver, a member of Avery Masonic Lodge, a Baptist and an Army veteran.

Survivors include three daughters, Lillian Bush of DeKalb, Ruby Dees of Norman, Okla., and Teresa Taylor Waldrop of Terrell; one son, Robert Taylor of Georgia; three sisters, Jimmie Lee and Barbara Wages of Avery, Texas, and Sylia Medders of Terrell; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Rickey Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
