STAMPS, Ark.—Allen Dean Peek, 77, of Doddridge, Ark., died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, in a Little Rock hospital.

Mr. Peek was born March 3, 1931, in Texarkana, Ark. He was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Doddridge.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Ruth Peek of Doddridge; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Janet Peek of Hazen, Ark.; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Wanda Peek of Doddridge; one sister, Wanda Thomas of Doddridge; four granddaughters, Becky Thompkins, Tracy Bartholomew, Leslie Standridge and Britney Anderson; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary O’Day officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church.
