CONARD HIGHTOWER

Conard Hightower, 69, of Leary, Texas, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Hightower was born March 5, 1939, in Tom, Okla. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and attended Victory City Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Hightower of Leary; one daughter and son-in-law, Sondra McMellon and Gary Maroun of Texarkana; one son, Shaunty Hightower of Leary; one brother, Reb Hightower of Hot Springs, Ark.; two sisters, Vicky Dicristo of Soquel, Calif., and Carolyn Hightower of Capitola, Calif.; two grandchildren, Christina McMellon and Toby Hightower; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Victory City Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Churchill officiating. Burial arrangements will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.

The family will be at the Hightower residence, 467 Shipp Rd., Leary, Texas.
