HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—David H. Floyd, 64, of Tyler, Texas, died Sunday, May 25, 2008, in a Tyler, Texas, hospice.

Mr. Floyd was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Atlanta, Texas. He was an auctioneer, employed with T&N, Lone Star, Texas, an installer for PetSmart, and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah of Tyler; one daughter, Lynette Floyd of Tyler; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Shonna Floyd of Union Grove; his father, Hugh Floyd of Daingerfield; two sisters, Sarah Jones and Suzann Young of Daingerfield; one brother, Don Floyd of Daingerfield; two grandsons, Cooper Floyd and Hunter Floyd of Union Grove, Texas; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Tommy Oglesby and Don Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Veal Switch Cemetery, Daingerfield.

Visitation will after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
