LEONARD WILLIAMS

JEFFERSON, Texas—Leonard Ray Williams, 69, of Calif., died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Calif.

Mr. Williams was born Feb. 20, 1939. He was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Vera Williams; and one son, Nakiae Williams.

Survivors include three daughters, Kialunda Williams of Lancaster, Calif., Gwendolyn Williams of Ontario, Calif., and Lenora Williams of Albuquerque, N.M.; his mother, Francis Williams Wighten of Jefferson; three brothers, Le Esten Williams of Dallas, Prentis W. Williams of Jefferson, and Thomas L. Williams; one stepbrother; three sisters, Quida J. Hall, Billye F. Williams and Maggie L. Carter of Kansas City, Mo.; five stepsisters; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Aaron officiating. Burial will be under direction of Lewis and Walker Funeral Home.
