PORTER BLIZZARD

Oakley Porter Blizzard, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, May 25, 2008, in a local retirement community.

Mr. Blizzard was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Linden, Texas. He was retired from the United States Post Office, a member of First Baptist Church, Texarkana, and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Simmons Blizzard.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Dorothy Simmons of Texarkana; six nephews; six nieces; and a number of other relatives.
