WILLIE BURNETT JR.
RIVERSIDE, Calif.—Willie Fella Burnett Jr., 74, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., died Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Mr. Burnett was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a retired auto salesman, volunteered for the homeless shelter, member of Vine-Life Christian Fellowship and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Willie Burnett III. Survivors include his wife, Tanora; seven daughters, Antoinette, Anquinette, Deborah, Veronica, Copi, Ronni and Lisa of Riverside; two sons, Perry and Brandon Burnett of Los Angeles; five sisters, Pinkie Hildreth and Matte Traylor of Texarkana; Bennie Kirkwood, Mattie Bobo and Shirley Carson of Los Angeles; two brothers, Rev. Homer Burnett of Laverne, Calif., and Rev. Billy C. Burnett of Moore Park, Calif.; and a number of other relatives. Services were May 23 at Vine-Life Christian Fellowship with Dr. Robert L. Wilkes officiating. Burial was in Riverside National Cemetery, with military rites, under direction of Arlington Mortuary.
