DEKALB, Texas—Della Mae Leathers, 82, of DeKalb died Thursday, May 29, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Leathers was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Clarksville, Texas. She was an employee of Red River Army Depot and a member of Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Terri Fletcher.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Leathers of DeKalb; one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Ted Merrill of Azle, Texas; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Matt and Stacie Merrill and Mark Merrill of Azle; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Laurie and David McDaniel and Lisa and Matthew Cucullu of Galveston, Texas; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Ronnie Pipes and Richard White officiating. Burial will be in Ben Lomond Cemetery, Ben Lomond, Ark., under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
