DEKALB, Texas—Dora Belle Anderson, 86, of DeKalb died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs. Anderson was born July 23, 1921, in DeKalb. She was a former employee of Montgomery Ward and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Herman Anderson.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles Anderson of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and William and Dorothy Anderson of Independence, Mo.; three sisters, Gertie Shaw of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Wanda Sheridan of Gladewater, Texas, and Bertha Merriman of Hooks, Texas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Jeff Footer officiating. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
