Esther Moore, 60, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, May 26, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Moore was born Aug. 29, 1947, in Texarkana. She was a domestic worker and member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Ray Moore Sr. of Texarkana; one son, Jimmie Ray Moore Jr. of Texarkana; three daughters, Cassandra Carter and Stephanie Moore of Texarkana and Vanessa Moore of Stamps, Ark.; five brothers, Irvin Carter of Tacoma, Wash., Richard Carter of Oakland, Calif., Deon Carter of Texarkana, Douglas Carter of Bossier City, La., and Nathan Carter of Arlington, Texas; four sisters, Addeen Thompson, Patricia Reed and Vanessa Carter of Texarkana and Deborah Carter of Sacramento, Calif.; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Rayfield officiating under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
