DE QUEEN, Ark.—James Oliver Sobak, 58, of Horatio, Ark., died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Sobak was born Feb. 22, 1950, in Devils Lake, N.D. He was an oil pipe yard manager and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Jarita Hendricks Sobak of Horatio; two sons, Shawn Ian Sobak and Doug Coggin of Conroe, Texas; his mother, Beatrice Sobak of Edmore, N.D.; one sister, Pat Sobak Frieje of Edmore; two grandsons, Nathan Sobak and Ryan Chapman; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Old Center Church with Tim Bowlin officiating. Burial will be in Old Center Cemetery under direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
