NASHVILLE, Ark.—Laverne Dawson, 71, of Nashville died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in Hot Springs, Ark.

Mrs. Dawson was born May 2, 1937, in Hot Springs. She was retired from Howard Manufacturing and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, James Dawson of Nashville; two sons, Robert Dawson and Frank Dawson of Nashville; three daughters, Bonnie Dawson and Geraldine Cogburn of Nashville and Teresa Tollett of Hot Springs; two sisters, Shirley Hearn of Dallas and Ima Faye Stewart of Malvern, Ark.; one brother, Chester Robinson of Long Beach, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Nashville Funeral Home with Gary Funderburk officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
