Vina M. Anderson, 90, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Anderson was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Fouke, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of South Texarkana Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Houston Anderson; and one granddaughter, Heather Lee Johnston.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and M.C. Johnston of Ashdown, Ark.; one son, William H. “Buddy” Anderson of Texarkana; one sister, Dorothy Lafayette of Texarkana; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, April and Randall Anderson Smith of Nash, Texas; one grandson, Shane Anderson of Texarkana; one great-granddaughter, Hannah P. Smith of Texarkana; one stepgranddaughter, Sharon McGlothlin of Little Rock; and one stepgrandson, Kenneth Johnston of Ashdown.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at East Funeral Home, Downtown with Tim Perkins and Bob Conner officiating. Burial will be in Sylverino Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
