Bob Junior Sharp, 79, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Sharp was born June 23, 1928, in Hopkins County, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a Baptist and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Sharp.

Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Bain of Texarkana; two sisters, Virginia Lauer of Hooks, Texas and Ruby Banister of Searcy, Ark.; one grandson, Cody Bain of Texarkana; one nephew, Wayne Lauer of Hooks; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Redwater Cemetery with John Hall officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
