ATLANTA, Texas—Christine Lummus, 79, of Atlanta died Monday, June 2, 2008, in Texarkana.

Mrs. Lummus was born Aug. 13, 1929, in Greenville, Texas. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and West Side Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Wendle Lummus of Atlanta; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Marilyn Lummus of Atlanta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Russell Hill of San Antonio, and Lori and Stuart Smith of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Carolyn Ragsdale of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one sister, Pauline Emerson of Greenville; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hanner Funeral Home with the Revs. Jim Howard and Paul Cothren officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Bloomburg, Texas.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
