MORRILTON, Ark.—Oletha Poe Pumphrey, 93, of Hot Springs, Ark., died Saturday, May 31, 2008.

Mrs. Pumphrey was born June 25, 1914, in Perry County. She was co-owner of Pumphrey Grocery, worked for the water company and was a member of Oppelo Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pumphrey; and one son, John Pumphrey Jr.

Survivors include daughter-in-law, Janie Pumphrey of Texarkana; one brother and two sisters-in-law, John and Karen Poe of Hot Springs, and Carolyn Poe of Oklahoma; one sister, Jerry Poe of Hot Springs; one brother-in-law, Bill Pumphrey of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Lethlyn and Larry Harp, and Trip Pumphrey of Little Rock; six great grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren;

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Ada Valley Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
