Dorsey “Dot” Taylor, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Nash, Texas.

Mrs. Taylor was born Dec. 29, 1922, in Hamilton, Miss. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Taylor Jr.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Jack Shellogg of Nash and Pat and Ed Black of Texarkana; two sisters, Pauline Dozier of Aberdeen, Miss., and Mae Thorpe of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Jay Shellogg of Texarkana, Patricia Cunningham of Wake Village, Texas, Deanna Harding of Bella Vista, Ark., and Bryan Black of Austin; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Hedi Cain officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
