KANSAS CITY, Kan.—Earline Mahaffey Pittman, 79, of Independence, Mo., died Friday, May 16, 2008, in an Independence nursing home.

Mrs. Pittman was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Ravenna, Texas.

Survivors include one son, Terry Pittman of Culver City, Calif.; two daughters, Joyce Malone of Glendale, Calif., and Lois Davis of Independence; one brother, Kenneth Mahaffey of Texarkana; one sister, Doris Tullos of Lufkin, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethsaida Cemetery, Atlanta, Texas, with the Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating. Burial will be under direction of Heartland Cremation and Burial Society.

Relatives will be at the home of Kenneth and Chris Mahaffey.
