Hollis E. Odom, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Odom was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Phil Campbell, Ala. He was retired from Garrett Corp., a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church and a Marine veteran. He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Odom and David Odom.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Odom of Texarkana; four sons, Hollis Odom Jr. and Richard Odom of Arizona, Steven Odom of Texarkana and Phillip Odom of Mansfield, Texas; two daughters, Rita Lawver and Penny Everett of Texarkana; three brothers, M.C. Odom of Arlington, Texas, Dolphus Odom of Waco, Texas, and Billy Odom of Davenport, Iowa; one sister, Judy Anderson of DeKalb, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be noon Friday at Highland Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. James Lindsey officiating under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
