Katherine McDonald, 85, of Texas died Monday, June 2, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. McDon-ald was born May 17, 1923, in Ruston, La. She was a registered nurse and a member of DAV Auxiliary and Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McDonald; one daughter, Kathie Reese; and one son, Johnny McDonald.

Survivors include one son, Elson D. McDonald of Crossroads, Ark.; two daughters, Sue Squyres of Crossroads and Ann Baker of Wake Village, Texas; one sister, Ernestine DeMarco of Blue Bell, Pa.; one brother, John Parker of Malvern, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with the Rev. Gary Steiner officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
