Doris Marie Robinson, 80, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, June 2, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Robinson was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Maud. She was a librarian, a teacher’s aide and a member of the Eastern Star and Maud United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.S. Robinson; and one son, William Neal Robinson.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy and Eddie Green of Maud and Elizabeth Hampton of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Howard and LeAnna Robinson of Hooks, Texas; two sisters, Evelyn Hammonds of New Boston, Texas, and Louise Gibson of Redwater, Texas; one brother, Charles J. Baggett of Mineola, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Lannigan and Tommy Jones officiating. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Relatives will be at 401 Lindsey Street, Maud.
