NEW BOSTON, Texas—Blanche J. Vohs, 86, of New Boston died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Vohs was born Feb. 27, 1922, in Deer River, Minn. She was a Catholic rectory cook and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by one son, Danny Vohs.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Launa and Victor Hays of New Boston; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Judy and Clay English of New Boston; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Ty Wells of New Boston and Hap and Trinette Wells of Bridgeport, Neb.; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held at a later date under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home.
