PRESCOTT, Ark.—Charlie F. Rhodes, 70, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Rhodes was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Cale, Ark. He was retired from Red River Army Deport, a Baptist and an Air Force and Navy Seabees veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Claudie Phillips of Texarkana; one son, Bryan Poier of Texarkana; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, John Cecil and Bobbie Rhodes of Wellington, Texas, Jimmy and Judy Rhodes of Rosston, Ark., and Arthur and Kimberly Rhodes of Prescott.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Teeter officiating. Burial will be under direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
