Donald Dean Hughes, 68, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Hughes was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Arkansas City, Kan. He was retired from Texarkana Armature.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Hughes; one son, Macon Hughes; two daughters, Shelly Johnson and Sherri Lee; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ronnie and Virgie Hughes and Bud Hughes; one sister, Karen Crawford; one granddaughter, Danielle; and one great-grandchild, Justice.

No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
