Pearl Edith Edmondson, 96, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Edmondson was born Oct. 5, 1911, in Maryville, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of Whitaker Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miniard Edmondson; one daughter, Edna Coopwood; one grandson, Jason; and one great-granddaughter, April.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Edmondson and James Edmondson; one daughter, Marie Friday; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Whitaker Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Harmon officiating under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

Relatives will be at the home of Raymond and Renessa Friday, 1317 E. 30th St., Texarkana, Ark.
