Ruby Brown, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 29, 1928, in Bowie County, Texas. She was a retired nurse and a Pentecostal.

Survivors include her husband, James Brown of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Don Woods and Sandy and Walter Starrett of Redwater, Texas; four grandchildren, Michelle O’Gorman of Oleta, Texas, Monica Black and Dustin Stringer of Texarkana and Amanda Escajeda of Arlington, Texas; one brother; three sisters; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, with the Rev. Matt Neese officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Relatives will be at No. 24 CR 1120 W., Redwater.
