ATLANTA, Texas—Jack Thompson, 61, of Bloomburg, Texas, died Friday, June 6, 2008.

Mr. Thompson was born Jan. 16, 1947, in Atlanta. He was a self-employed carpenter and was the builder and designer for the Atlanta Museum. He was preceded in death by one son, Jacob Michael Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Thompson; one son, Jason Thompson; three daughters, Kellie Watson, Amanda Clayton and Marti Alexander; his mother, Olene Thompson; two sisters, Betty O’Day and Marilyn Young; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, with hte Rev. Joe Srygley officiating. Burial will be in Cass Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
