Roy William Fant Jr., 54, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Fant was born May 17, 1954, in Dallas. He was a master gardener, a member of First Bikers Church, and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

Survivors include one son, Anthony Fant of Texarkana; his mother, Glenda Payne Fant of Port Aransas, Texas; two brothers, Ronnie Fant and Eric Fant of Texarkana; two sisters, Rhoda Fant Gleason of Port Aransas and Jennifer Fant of Texarkana; a grandson, Preston McElwee of Texarkana; two special friends, Larry Paul McCommas and Sandy Friday of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with the Rev. Gary Don Sandlin officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.
