ATLANTA, Texas—Tomie Skinner, 77, of Atlanta died Thursday, June 12, 2008, in Atlanta.

Mrs. Skinner was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Little Rock. She was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Skinner of Atlanta; two sons, Milton Skinner of Colorado and John Skinner of Atlanta; two daughters, Maurita Stark of Avinger, Texas, and LaVeda Miles of Sealy, Texas; one brother, Charlie Thomas of Azle, Texas; two sisters, Eleanor Richie of Shreveport, La., and Ida Nell Favre of Atlanta; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hanner Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Crow officiating. Burial will be in Courtland Cemetery.
