HOPE, Ark.—Helen Marie Thompson, 88, of Hope died Thursday, June 12, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Thompson was born July 22, 1919, in Bluefield, W.Va. She was a retired waitress and member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Earl Thompson.

Survivors include two sons, Garnett Earl Thompson of Hope and Bobby Ray Thompson of Prairie Grove, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Harley Sisson officiating.
