DIERKS, Ark.—Doris M. Shelton, 84, of Dierks died Sunday, June 15, 2008, in a Nashville, Ark., hospital.

Mrs. Shelton was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Tilden, Neb. She was a member of Greens Chapel, Ark., Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deck Shelton, on Dec. 17, 1998.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Brice and Glenda Shelton of Greens Chapel; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ray Allen of Dierks; three sisters, Evelyn Buston of Colorado and Dorothy Hancock and Lenora Proehl of Nebraska; two brothers, Charles Sandquist of Iowa and Freddie Sandquist of Nebraska; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Greens Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. John Henry Williams officiating. Burial will be under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
