Jewell Walker, 97, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, June 16, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Walker was born Jan. 15, 1911, in Hope, Ark. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine Walker Williams of Texarkana; three grandsons, Gerald D. Walker of Texarkana and Derrick D. Walker and Demetrick D. Williams of Dallas; and one granddaughter, Denisha D. Williams of Texarkana.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Armstrong Cemetery, Ogden, Ark., with Superintendent Veotis Robinson officiating. Burial will be under direction of Jones Funeral Home.
