DE QUEEN, Ark.—Berta Sue Pierce Shipp, 59, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, June 30, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs. Shipp was born Sept. 27, 1948, in Broken Bow, Okla. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Keith Shipp of Maud; one son, Kevin Wayne Littlejohn of Durant, Okla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Sue and Bill Soden of Horatio, Ark., and Tonya DeAnn and DeWayne Chandler of Boswell, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Paula Shipp of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Bob S. Studdard of Midwest City, Okla., and Jessie Pierce of Valliant, Okla.; one sister, Opal Nix of Tishomingo, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Ida Cemetery with J. Carlton officiating. Burial will be in Mount Ida Cemetery under direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
