BROOKS COLLINS
HOPE, Ark.—Brooks Collins, 77, of Spring Hill, Ark., died Monday, June 30, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mr. Collins was born Oct. 25, 1930, in Spring Hill. He was retired from the Arkansas State Livestock and Poultry, a cattle, sheep and poultry farmer, a former member of Hempstead County Cattleman’s Association and Spring Hill School Board, a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Taylor Collins. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Donna Collins of Spring Hill; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Louise and John Harrison of Spring Hill; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Juanita Hunt of Hope and Marilyn McDowell and Patty Sue and Lloyd Turner of Spring Hill; two sisters-in-law, Norma Nell Ward of Hope and Bobbie Foster of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednes-day at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Eldridge officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery, Spring Hill. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online registration is at www.brazzelfuneralhomes.com.
