Evelyn Lois Dyer, 92, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Dyer was born Jan. 27, 1916, in Pittsburg, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Dyer.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Nolan and Ann Dyer of Texarkana; one sister, Lenna McNutt of Pittsburg; one brother, Doyle Copeland of Pittsburg; two grandchildren, Steven Dyer of Texarkana and Darrell Dyer of Allen, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Denice Dyer and Eric Dyer of Texarkana and Holly Smith of Fouke, Ark.; one great-great-grandchild, Lydia Dyer of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
