NASHVILLE, Ark.—James Floyd “Jamie” Cox, 60, of Pike City, Ark., died Monday, June 30, 2008.
Mr. Cox was born July 13, 1947, in Okolona, Ark. He was a member of Pike City Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Cameron Tate Cox. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, J.J. and Sirena Cox; three sisters, Eunice Higgins of Pike City, Ruby Marsteller of Benson, Ariz., and Darlene Boyd of Highland Home, Ala.; three brothers, Raymond Cox of Ozan, Ark., Walter “Buddy” Cox of Hopkins, S.C., and Calvin Cox of Pike City; one granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Harris Cemetery with the Rev. Freeman Henderson officiating. Burial will be under direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
