Robert Buchanan “Buck” Harris, 82, of Nash, Texas, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Harris was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Katemcy, Texas. He was retired from International Paper Mill and a World War II Army Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Harris.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Donna Smith of Texarkana; one sister-in-law, Gemma Davis of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Colton Smith, Chase Smith and Chance Smith of Texarkana; one niece and spouse, Krissy and Matt Coleman of Texarkana; two great-nieces, Addy Coleman and Sadie Coleman; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Nelson Hodgkins and Steve Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
