ROOSEVELT ALEXANDER
STAMPS, Ark.—Roosevelt “Bill” Alexander, 80, of Magnolia, Ark., died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, in Garland, Texas.
Mr. Alexander was born June 1, 1928, in McNeil, Ark. He was retired from Polks Furniture and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Roosevelt Alexander Jr. Survivors include two sons, Glen Edward Alexander and Russel Dewitt Alexander; four daughters, Gloria Jane Buffington Sutton, Hazel Denis Lockhart, Deletreeana Alexander and Karatona Alexander-Benjamin; two sisters, Pearlee Palmer and Annie Faye Burnell; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Youngblood Auditorium, Magnolia, with the Rev. C.L. Tyson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Stephens, Ark., under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
