NAPLES, Texas—Roy Lee Wortham Sr., 91, of Naples died Thursday, June 26, 2008, in an Omaha, Texas, nursing home.

Mr. Wortham was born July 18, 1916, in De Queen, Ark. He was a service station owner, a member of Lions Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars and First Baptist Church and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelma King Wortham; and one daughter, Earlene Stapleton.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Roy Lee Jr. and Earlene Wortham; eight grandchildren, Vicki Carpenter, Dana Myers, Don Wortham, Lee Wortham, Heather Ashmore, Neal Stapleton, Richard Stapleton and Sonja Stapleton; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cremation services were under direction of Harrison Funeral Home.
