STAMPS, Ark.—Gladys Jean Stovall Russ, 67, of Springhill, La., died Friday, June 27, 2008, in a Pine Bluff, Ark., hospital.

Ms. Russ was born Sept. 18, 1940, in McKamie, Ark. She was a former employee of International Paper Co. and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosalind.

Survivors include four children, Alvin Russ and Sheldon W. Russ of Springhill, Cynthia Lawson of Taylor, Ark., and Tonya Farris of Pine Bluff; four sisters, Alverta Ward of Stamps, Rosie Jamerson of Detroit, Mich., Francine Landrum of Chicago and Patricia Williams of Magnolia, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. Lewis Shephard Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
