COLUMBUS, Kan.—Myra Janelle Koons, 68, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs. Koons was born May 9, 1940, in Picher, Okla. She was a beauty shop owner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Koons, on Feb. 24, 2008.

Survivors include one daughter, Dawn Koons of Texarkana; one brother, John McCracken of Joplin, Mo.; and one grandson, Dawson Wallace Koons of Texarkana.

Graveside services were Tuesday at Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial was under direction of Murdock Funeral Home.
