Allie Marie Jones, 86, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Longview, Texas. She was a retired parts manager for Sears Service Department, a former member of Eastern Star and a member of Liberty-Eylau Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil A. Jones Sr.; and one grandson, David Anthony Jones.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Jody Hester of Gladewater, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Chaytor Jones and Cecil A. Jr. and Beverly Jones of Queen City, Texas; two sisters: Melva Singley and Wilma Wright of Longview; two brothers, Bronson Reynolds of Leary, Texas, and Robert Reynolds of Davenport, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Dr. Dwight Lowrie officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
